Message from the Dean
On behalf of the Faculty of Health Sciences, I am pleased to welcome you all.
The Faculty of Health Sciences oversees an integrated body of healthcare programs committed to educating future leaders in healthcare and well-being. Healthcare is a rewarding and exciting field of study and practice. To address a continuously increasing demand of competent healthcare professionals, we offer diverse undergraduate and graduate programs that rightly contributes to the advancement of healthcare delivery, both locally and globally.
Faculty of Health Sciences has altogether ten highly acclaimed and accredited Schools and Colleges across the country. I invite you to explore our educational programs, accredited by Medical Education Commission (MEC) and respective Professional Council of Nepal. Currently, we offer Bachelor degree programs in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory, Public Health, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Microbiology, Medical Biochemistry, and Optometry, as well as Master degree programs in Pharmacy, Public Health, Medical Laboratory and Optometry.
Faculty of Health Sciences has a rich history of excellence in education, research and healthcare services. Our courses are primarily focused on problem based clinical learning and applied research. The Health Science graduates from Pokhara University are highly employable professionals, as well as majority of them are competent to secure their place in the world’s best Universities, Hospital and research centers. We are proud of our large and accomplished alumni family, many of whom have outstanding careers in the field of Health Sciences.
