Dear all, 
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at Pokhara University. As a center of academic excellence, the faculty is committed to fostering the highest standards of education, innovation, research, and professional practice in the health sciences.
FHS envisions producing skilled, qualified, and responsible human resources in the fields of medical and paramedical sciences; conducting innovative research; and providing medical services by nurturing students into competent professionals, supporting research and evidence-based practice, and offering integrated medical services to the community.
Since its establishment, the FHS aims to produce technically competent, compassionate, socially responsible health professionals capable of meeting the evolving needs of our community and the county. Our courses employ a variety of learning methods for effective learning, active participation, and future professional success. We offer comprehensive academic programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, each carefully designed to integrate theoretical foundations, practical work and clinical training, research work and community and organizational engagement.
We offer a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate programs aimed at developing competent, ethical, and skilled health professionals. The undergraduate programs include the degrees in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Microbiology, Medical Biochemistry, Public Health, Nursing, Nursing Science (BNS), Optometry, Physiotherapy, and Medical Imaging Technology. We also offer graduate programs in Public Health, Medical Microbiology, Medical Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science,s and Optometry. To further advance academic excellence and research, we have recently launched a Ph. D. program in Health Sciences.
The FHS comprises innovative programs, technical education, dedicated professionals, supportive staff, and passionate learners; all working collaboratively to enhance academic, research, and health outcomes, and to shape the future of healthcare in the country. We uphold high academic standards and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure quality in education and research work. Our dedicated and student-oriented faculties come from diverse backgrounds and possess essential technical expertise and academic qualifications. We offer diverse programs focused on students’ holistic growth and development, which essentially help them as individuals and as future leaders in a global society, equipping them with the skills and perspectives needed for rewarding careers.
