पोखरा विश्वविद्यालयका उपकुलपति प्रा. चिरञ्जीवीप्रसाद शर्माले पोखरा विश्वविद्यालयको स्तरोन्नतिका लागि समय सापेक्ष कार्यक्रमको सञ्चालन गर्दै लैजाने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्नुभएको छ । उहाँले उक्त विचार एमएस्सी स्ट्रक्चरल इञ्जिनियरिङ्गका विद्यार्थीलाई लक्षित गरी सञ्चालन गरिएको एकदिने अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रमको २०७४ वैशाख ४ गते सोमबार उद्घाटन गर्दै बताउनुभएको हो । शिक्षण सिकाई र अनुसन्धान गतिविधिमा लक्षित गरी आयोजित उक्त अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रमलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै कार्यक्रमका प्रमुख अतिथि उपकुलपति शर्माले सबैको साथ र सहयोग प्राप्त भएमा अन्य विधामा पनि नयाँ कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गरिने जानकारी दिनुभयो । ।
उक्त अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रमलाई विश्वविद्यालयका रजिष्ट्रार गोविन्दप्रसाद शर्मा, स्कूल अफ इञ्जिनियरिङ्का डीन ई. बुद्धिराज जोशी, स्कूल अफ ईञ्जिनियरिङ्का स्कूल निर्देशक ई. अर्जुन गौतम, स्कूल अफ ईञ्जिनियरिङ्का प्रा.डा. टेकराज ज्ञवाली र पोखरा विश्वविद्यालय एनआइटेक परियोजनाका निर्देशक प्रा.डा. योनसिक हानले सम्बोधन गर्नुभएको थियो । विनाशकारी भूकम्पपछिको विषम परिस्थितिमा देशको पूर्ननिर्माणका सन्दर्भमा स्ट्रक्चरल इञ्जिनियरिङ्गको उपादेयता र महत्व बढ्न गएकोले विश्वविद्यालयले सो विषयमा पठन पाठन शुरु गरेको हो । विश्वविद्यालयमा प्रथम पटक आङ्गिक कार्यक्रमको रूपमा सो कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गरिएको हो । हाल उक्त कार्यक्रममा कुल १५ जना विद्यार्थी भर्ना लिई पठनपाठन शुरु गरिएको छ ।
अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रमलाई प्रा.डा. पद्मबहादुर शाही, ई. सन्तोष श्रेष्ठ, पुल्चोक क्याम्पस; डा. इन्द्रप्रसाद आचार्य, पुल्चोक क्याम्पस, प्रा.डा. किम, एनआइटेक परियोजना, ई. महेन्द्रबहादुर गोदार, पोखरा लेखनाथ महानगरपालिका, प्रा.डा. गोकर्णबहादुर मोत्रा, प्राचार्य, पुल्चोक क्याम्पस; डा. हेमचन्द्र चौलागाई, स्कूल अफ ईञ्जिनियरिङ्ग, पोवि लगायतले सहजिकरण गर्नुभएको थियो ।
