Strengthening institutional partnerships and global academic exchange, the School of Development and Social Engineering (SDSE) at Pokhara University hosted a visiting delegation from Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) and Kulturstudier (Culture Studies, Norway) on September 10, 2026.

The 26-member visiting team, including 23 international students, was formally received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ananta Dhungana, Director of SDSE, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deepanjal Shrestha, Executive Director of the International Relations Center (IRC) at Pokhara University, along with program coordinators, faculty, and local students.

The event featured a guest lecture titled “Introduction to the Politics of Nepal” delivered by political analyst Bishnu Sapkota. The session was split across two morning blocks with a brief intermission. Following the lecture, Dr. Dhungana delivered welcome remarks introducing Pokhara University and SDSE, leading into an interactive Q&A session where visiting students engaged directly with local faculty and peers.

To conclude the visit, two Pokhara University student groups guided the visitors on a tour of the campus. Highlighting the spirit of cultural exchange, Sandesh Bhurtel, a B.Ed. student at Pokhara University, performed two songs to entertain the visiting delegation before their departure.
