Pokhara, March 19, 2026.
Pokhara University, Nepal, and Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Haryana, India, have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster academic cooperation and partnership. The signing ceremony was conducted virtually, symbolizing the closeness and connectivity made possible in today’s digital era.
The MoU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajay Thapa, Registrar of Pokhara University, and Prof. Dr. Jyoti Rana, Registrar of SVSU. The online event was attended by distinguished officials from both institutions. From Pokhara University, participants included Prof. Dr. Gyaneshwor Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Management; Asst. Prof. Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deepanjal Shrestha, Executive Director of the International Relations Center and Assoc. Prof. Er. Prakash Bahadur Adhikari, Chief of the Planning and Program Division. Representing SVSU, Dr. Yogesh Varma, Professor of the University, joined the ceremony.
The agreement outlines collaboration in several key areas, including:
- Exchange of students and faculty
- Joint research initiatives
- Resource sharing and benchmarking of pedagogical and evaluation strategies
- Organization of international conferences, seminars, workshops, training programs, invited talks, and expert sessions
The MoU will remain valid for three years from the date of signing. Both registrars addressed the ceremony, highlighting the importance of institutional introductions and reaffirming their commitment to advancing academic excellence through mutual cooperation.
