Registrar of Pokhara University Delivers Keynote Address at International Conference in India

The Registrar of Pokhara University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajay Thapa, participated as a keynote speaker at 6th IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Computer Science and Technology (ICRTCST-2026). The international event took place over two days, from January 29 to 30, 2026. The conference was hosted in Jharkhand state by the RVS College of Engineering and Technology, specifically organized by their Departments of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University Prof. Dr. Bed Raj K.C. graced the event as the Chief Guest.

During the technical sessions of the conference, The Registrar shared insights through a keynote address titled “Innovating Appropriate Technology for the Empowerment of People in the Mountains of Nepal.” This address was presented as a part of the conference’s high-level sessions, highlighting significant regional perspectives within the framework of the global IEEE platform.

The Registrar’s keynote address in international forum underscored the importance of developing technological solutions tailored to the needs of mountain communities, ensuring that Nepali perspectives and regional insights are represented within the global academic discourse.
