Message from the Vice Chancellor

Welcome to Pokhara University!

I am delighted to extend my heartfelt greetings to all students, professors, researchers, staff, parents, collaborators, visitors, and stakeholders associated with Pokhara University. I also express sincere gratitude to the academicians, professionals, industrialists, and community members whose efforts established Pokhara University in 1997, which was a key milestone in the journey of higher education in Nepal.

With over 60,000 globally competent graduates making professional impacts, and more than 35,000 current students, including 1,300 annual full scholarship recipients, we are committed to shaping the future careers of our students with professionally customized applied courses. Our 65 programs nationwide emphasize job-market-oriented education, making us a preferred choice for students locally and internationally.

Pokhara University fosters excellence through practical education, research, innovation, and collaboration. As Nepal prepares to graduate from the Least Developed Country (LDC) category in 2026 and achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, we are aligning our academic efforts with these goals.

We embrace the principle of Leave No One Behind (LNOB), ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their background, have access to high quality higher education and opportunities. We are committed to enhancing our curricula and pedagogy to instill values of professionalism, humanism, and nationalism, ensuring our graduates take pride in being part of Pokhara University.

Together, let us strive for excellence in higher education, research, and innovation and contribute to building a Knowledgeable, Prosperous, and Happy Nepal.
