Pokhara University and Xidian University Sign MoU to Strengthen Academic Cooperation

Pokhara University, Nepal, and the Joint Laboratory of International Cooperation on Structural Mechanics of Composite Materials for Electronic Devices at Xidian University, China, formally exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 18, 2025.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Binaya Kumar Mishra, Director of the School of Engineering at Pokhara University, and Prof. Dr. Quan Yinghui, Dean of the School of Information Mechanics and Sensing Engineering at Xidian University. The exchange ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Bed Raj KC, Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University, and Prof. Dr. Juan Ma, Executive Director of the Joint Laboratory and Vice-Dean.

The event was also graced by distinguished academicians, including Prof. Dr. Luo Pingping from the School of Water and Environment, Chang’an University, China.

Through this MoU, both institutions have committed to strengthening academic exchange and cooperation in education and research. The collaboration will encompass:

  • International exchange programs for professors, researchers, technical staff, and students
  • Joint organization of study courses and summer schools
  • Collaborative research projects
  • Joint organization of meetings, conferences, seminars, and training programs

The agreement will remain valid for five years, marking a significant step toward fostering global academic partnerships and advancing collaborative research initiatives.
