पोखरा विश्वविद्यालय र चीनको Xuzhou University of Technology बीच सम्झौता

२०८२ मंसिर ९ गते, पोखरा–३०, कास्की ।

यहि मङ्सिर ८ गते पोखरा विश्वविद्यालय र चीनको Xuzhou University of Technology बिच औपचारिक रूपमा समझदारी पत्र (MoU) मा हस्ताक्षर भएको छ । यस अनुरुप दुवै विश्वविद्यालयहरूले संयुत्त रुपमा Center of Excellence (CoE), Artificial Intelligence Center एवम् Confucius Center स्थापना गर्ने सम्झौता भएको छ । समझदारी पत्रमा पोखरा विश्वविद्यालयका तर्फबाट उपकुलपति प्रा.डा. बेद राज के.सी. एवम् Xuzhou University of Technology का तर्फबाट सो विश्वविद्यालयका Vice President Prof. Wang Fengbo ले हस्ताक्षर गर्नु भएको हो । उक्त कार्यक्रममा पोखरा विश्वविद्यालयको तर्फबाट विश्वविद्यालयका उपकुलपति प्रा.डा. बेद राज के.सी एवम् रजिष्ट्रार सह–प्रा.डा. अजय थापाका साथै व्यवस्थापन संकायका डीन प्रा.डा. ज्ञानेश्वर भट्टराई, विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि संकायका डीन सह–प्रा ई. बुद्धिराज जोशी र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सम्बन्ध केन्द्रका कार्यकारी निर्देशक सह–प्रा.डा. दिपाञ्जल श्रेष्ठको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो भने Xuzhou University of Technology को प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै विश्वविद्यालयका Vice President Prof. Wang Fengbo, Head of the Department of Student Affairs Prof. Geng Zhonghua, Dean of the School of Education Prof. Zhao Hongmei, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics Prof. Su Youhui, Dean of the School of Sports Prof. Zhang Zhanping, Vice Dean of the School of International Education Prof. Pan Dong र Department of Management का Prof. Zhan Wei को उपस्थिति रहेको थियो भने डा. केशव कुंवरले सहजकर्ताको भूमिका निर्वाह गर्नु भएको थियो । हस्ताक्षर कार्यक्रम पूर्व दुई विश्वविद्यालयका प्रतिनिधिहरु बिच समझदारी पत्र (MoU) मा रहेका सम्झौताका वुँदाहरुमा दुई पक्षिय छलफल समेत भएको थियो । साथै दुई विश्वविद्यालय बिच सम्बन्ध स्थापना, सोको विस्तार एवम् प्राज्ञिक सहकार्यका लागि आगामि दिनहरुमा गर्न सकिने पहल एवम् क्रियाकलापहरुका विषयमा समेत छलफल भएको थियो । यो समझदारी पत्र ५ वर्षका लागि लागु हुनेछ भने यस समझदारी पत्रमा उल्लेख गरिएका मुख्य सहकार्यका क्षेत्रहरू निम्नानुसार रहेका छन् :

Areas of Cooperation

Establishment of the Center of Excellence (CoE)

  1. Both institutions agree to jointly establish a Center of Excellence for academic,
    research, and innovation collaboration.
  2. The CoE will serve as an umbrella for all joint initiatives, including:
  • Artificial Intelligence Center
  • Joint Research Institutes
  • Joint Academic Programs
  • Cultural and Language Centers

Establishment of Artificial Intelligence Center

Joint establishment of an AI Innovation and Research Center.

Focus areas will include but not limited to:

  • Machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, robotics, big data
  • AI applications in agriculture, health, education, and public services

Joint Degree and Academic Programs

  1. Development of Joint Degree, Dual Degree, or 3+1/2+2 Programs in selected disciplines.
  2. Recognition of credit transfer and mutual academic equivalence.
  3. Exchange of faculty for teaching, curriculum development, and quality assurance.
  4. Scholarships or mobility grants for students from both institutions.
  5. Joint short-term training programs, summer schools, and executive training.

Establishment of Joint Research Institutes

Setting up Research Institutes in mutually beneficial areas such as:

  1. Digital Transformation
  2. Energy and Environment
  3. Business and Management
  4. Engineering and Technology
  5. Joint research proposals, publications, patents, and participation in international
    research funding.
  6. Sharing of research infrastructure, laboratories, and data resources.
  7. Provision for joint supervision of graduate theses (Master’s and PhD).

Establishment of Confucius Center

Agreement to establish a Confucius Center for cultural, linguistic, and academic exchange.

Offerings may include:

  1. Chinese language courses
  2. Cultural programs and exchanges
  3. Scholarships to Chinese universities
  4. Support for visiting teachers and cultural experts

The center will operate under mutual governance respecting national regulations and institutional guidelines.

Student and Faculty Exchange Programs

  1. Semester-based exchange for faculty and students.
  2. Opportunities for internships, industrial training, and study visits.
  3. Joint mentorship programs and visiting scholar initiatives.

Resource Sharing and Infrastructure

  1. Provision of space, facilities, laboratories, and administrative support for all joint
  2. Agreement on financial commitments from both sides.
  3. Shared use of libraries, digital resources, and research tools.
